When it was annouced back in 2007 that there was going to be a film adaption of the exceptional World War Z novel, I along with many other fans were pretty excited at this prospect, unfortunatley since Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertaiment company bought the rights, World War Z has been in development hell. Suffering from constant change of locations, rewrites, new writers, re-shoots and delays in release dates, it seemed that this film may never be released, but alas a trailer for the film was eventually released. After seeing the trailer, fans were left wondering if any part of this film is going to be based on the book, instead of following the varying stories of the book, the film seems to following only one characther (Brad Pitt), the zombies are different from that in the book in the sense that they can run instead of walk and the use of CGI for the zombies is a hugely disapointing choice.Had this been released as a project not based on the book, I’d probably be more excited as the film still looks pretty entertaining but its just disapointing that it has shown such little loyalty to the source material.

When Bryan Singer announced via Twitter, that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were gonna return to the x-men franchise, fans of the series inevitable started to get excited about this prospect, however when Patrick Stewart was being interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, he had to play down his association with the new X-Men film.
“Bryan let the cat out of the bag on Twitter,” Stewart told EW. “And it included announcing that Sir Ian and myself were going to be in this movie. We are, you know, under contractual oath with 20th Century Fox to say nothing about any prospective X-Men movie including the old team. I use “old” advisedly. So it’s a kind of awkward position, because lovely Bryan Singer just blurted it all out there. For me the big thrill is knowing that Bryan Singer is attached to this movie, because not only is he a brilliant director, but also I adore him and hope that it might be true and that we do work together at some point in the future. But I’m not being coy. I know nothing about this project. And I’m hoping that might change in the future.”
I doubt fans will be too worried by Stewart’s comments, he is more than likely just being quiet till the studio officially announces their involvement.
X-Men Days Of Futre Past will be released in summer of 2013.
Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland which grossed in excess of one billion dollars will unsurprisngly have a sequel. Although the film receives mixed responses from the critics, it was a box office smash. The only person to be attached to the project as of it yet, is Linda Woolverton. It is unclear whether Tim Burton will return to direct and Tim Burton’s involvement will inevitabley have an effect on whether the likes of Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp decide to sing up. There is no release date as of yet, but it most likely will be 2014.
